Should the Electoral Collage be Abolished

by ARP Team Leader
Opened on Monday, January 23, 2017

Polling Background

Using the latest Census data, it was determined that half of the United States population is clustered in just 146 of the biggest counties out of over 3000 in the US.

As indicated in the below map, only 50% of the American population lives in the gray shaded counties on this map while 50% is concentrated in the remaining blue counties of each respective State..

Now the Electoral College is comprised as follows: Each State gets 1 Electoral vote for each Senator and 1 for each Representative in Congress. The Electoral votes are cast, on a winner take all, in every state for the candidate getting the most votes in that State.

When you look at the map it's easy to see that any population increase to the 146 counties represented on the map would basically give them enough votes to elect a president every election cycle if we did so strictly on the popular vote.

The Electoral College process prevents this from happening insuring the diverse ideology, will and desires of each "State" and its "Citizens" are represented equally in the presidential election process. Keep in mind we are a United States and that each State is also entitled to equal representation within the Federal Government. Therefore, it is only fair and fitting that the candidate who carries the State by majority wins all the Electoral votes of that State.

In summary, if we had abolished the Electoral College you would have had 146 blue counties out of 3000 nationwide deciding the outcome of the presidential election with their 50+% majority vote. This should show you the superb wisdom and commonsense of the Founding Fathers to ensure a fair and all inclusive democratic process and representation of all the people. Not just those few counties in a handful of States that happen to have a majority of the population that consistently votes the same party ever election.

Or more simply put, without the Electoral College we would suffer a loss of our inalienable rights and liberties and succumb to a Dictatorship!

This is why we have an Electoral College.

Should Congress Ban the Sale of Assault Weapons in the U.S.

by ARP Team Leader
Opened on Monday, June 20, 2016

Polling Background

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. "

This is the 2nd Amendment to our constitution. Twenty-seven (27) words that both lawmakers and US Citizens seem to have a difficult time in understanding. Let me simply clarify it for you .

ALL people have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT (As in the ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND PROPERTY)  to bear arms (meaning ANY TYPE OF ARM we want, pistol to a rocket launcher) and the Government (as in no Federal, State and/or local government) shall NOT INFRINGE (meaning government CAN NOT STOP us) from this right in any shape or form unless they want to amend the constitution.

The 2nd amendment was adapted from a British Law which armed the people to protect life and property and fight back against a tyrannical King and government. Our founders additionally contended and the Supreme Court upheld that it further implied that the right was extended to individuals to support life (hunting) and defend personal life, rights and liberty against criminals.

Now given the fact that our government is heading down a path of tyranny, it would be inconceivable for any militia or person to fight back against government with single shot weapons that both political parties want to stop us from owning. And the intend to eventually take ALL our guns away starting with Assault Weapons... Now how would any logical person vote...

To avoid the Fiscal Cliff, Should Republicans give into Obama’s demand to raise taxes

by ARP Team Leader
Opened on Saturday, December 08, 2012

Polling Background

Since his reelection, Obama has insisted that Congress put forth a balanced tax restructuring plan that must include a tax rate increase on the wealthy even though this increase in rate and revenue would only generate enough to cover a few days of government spending. (Makes absolutely NO sense)

Meanwhile, Republicans have clearly offered and demonstrated an alternative solution that would not only resolve the looming situation using a logical and economically sound approach but would in turn produce greater revenue without raising taxes on anyone, than that of the of Obama's plan (Not really a plan but more an ultimatum with no substance behind it).

The approach makes simple common sense and imparts sound accounting principles. The Republican plan is to simply eliminate many of the existing tax deductions and loopholes available to big business and the wealthy which will  substantially produce far more revenue than that of Obama's suggestion.

Should We Abolish The Two Party System In America

by ARP Team Leader
Opened on Sunday, May 06, 2012

Polling Background

Currently the vast majority of the states only allow ballot access to only the two major parties, Republicans and Democrats.  Independent 3rd or 4th party's and their candidates are either completely denied ballot access or the States requirements for qualifying and obtaining ballot access are virtually impossible for the party or candidate to achieve.

This practice and  obvious discrimination against Independent party's and candidates is potentially unconstitutional when denying ballot access to candidates having clearly defined and distinct differences of opinions, principals and values from those of Republicans or Democrats.
